While I've been editing my last entry the Yankees have come back and are now comfortably ahead of the Devil Rays. That's GOOD! They've hit 4 home runs in the bottom of the 8th inning and now lead 20-11. They scored 13 runs in the bottom of the 8th. The key or go ahead hit was Bernie Williams' bases clearing triple. The bases were loaded when he hit it. That made it 13-11. They went on to score another 7 runs including Gary Sheffield's second 3 run homerun, a home run by A-Rod and Jorge Posada and one by Hideki Matsui who had hit a big double to close the score earlier in the inning. Tom Gordon finished up the game with a 1-2-3 ninth.
