I keep trying to get to the Brokeback Mountain show but I am always sidetracked. I bought mom a rose bush for Valentine's Day, a small one and she thought it would be best to put it in a plot at least until the winter is over. I had to get mom some honey as well and return my library book, The Republican Noise Machine. So, I needed a little cash to go to the movie, and I headed to a Wachovia ATM, but the traffic was real bad and I ended up going to this place on Newberry Road, a nursery, to buy a pot for the rose I bought. I had been there last week and I got upset because I thought an attractive woman there was rude to me. I was wearing this leather jacket that a friend of my mother's from the church had given me for Xmas. Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. The fellow who gave me the jacket which looked really "hot" to me when I first saw it, is real Dittohead. Dittohead is the name assumed by those who retell the "bullshit" that Rush Limbaugh likes to spew on his radio broadcast. The generous man's name is Vernon and I can hear him speak to my mom on the speakerphone. When he called Ted Kennedy a muderer that was it for me. The coat was no longer "hot" and I began to wonder why I got it. Was he trying to buy me off? And then there were questions I asked myself about my own heart. I had Playboy TV for many years and I only gave it up because of the price and perhaps because women are portrayed as being silly assed nymphs a lot of the time, although the term nymph is a bit too educated to describe some of PBTV. It costs $16 a month, but where does it get me really? The Playboy lifestyle appears to me to be about money, booze and meat and I don't really get along with those things. Oh, and hey, the Gators play tonight in Nashville, against Vanderbilt. They are a really great team. I love to wathc them play but tonight they are on a delay so I'll have to listen. Last time they were on delay they lost to South Carolina. Boy, USC is a tough team, beating Alabama last night pretty handily. I hope we can play as well against Vanderbilt as we did in Gainesville when we beat them by 23 points. We've got to catch up to UT who beat us when we visited them early in the year. I often think it was the pressure of the 17-0 record we had going in at Knoxville, but I have been listening to those who mention Corey Brewer getting hurt. I hope this tape delay doesn't hurt us tonight and the heart and soul of the hometown stays with them when they play the Commodores tonight.
